weekend stuff

Farewell, gorgeous weekend! I love living out of the city so much. I'm a complete country girl through and through and am pretty sure I've been this way since birth. Nothing beats waking up to the sunshine beaming through the abundance of trees and landing right in your bedroom. The weather was perfect this weekend which made for an awesome Mother's Day. We headed up to my mom's place, which is my childhood home and spent the day out on the patio.  I am super bummed that I didn't stop along the way to snap any photos. The drive there is just gorgeous... green hills for miles along a country road. We stopped at a couple garden markets along the way and picked up some yummy treats that I'll likely be paying for later!

My brother, his wife, and her pregnant little belly were there also. She is almost six months along now and I got to feel his little baby kicks. First time I've ever felt that before and it was so awesome! I might have squealed like a little girl...
